Battery help... I think?

I've had my Macbook Air for roughly since 6 weeks before Christmas, and suddenly in the last week it's started playing up. I put it in standby the night before, battery high, but when I open it up the next morning... nada... no power...

What follows I guess is what happens when the battery runs out ordinarily -- time lost, wifi key lost, mail passwords forgotten -- but I want to know why it is doing this, and if there's something I am doing wrong that is causing this or if there's something I can do to stop it.

Any help would be much appreciated

It's possible it didn't stay in sleep mode all night.

That is not normal behavior when the battery runs out completely. Try resetting your SMC and make sure your battery is calibrated properly. Follow the link below for instructions for both (under CHARGING and CALIBRATION).
