Battery help

hi, i have a macbook pro that is a few moths old. I noticed that the battery charge indicator does not exceede 99% now. is it slowly loosing its life?

is it bad to keep it plugged in 24-7? i do use it every day

....i did a quick google search and some recommended that I charge it fully, then unplug, let it go down and then recharge...
