Guys how are yours battery life's in iOS 4.2.1?
Better, worse or the same with comparision to 4.1, 4.0.2...

Thanks

Had some high usage overnight but that seems to happen randomly anyway. I will need another night to see if that continues. 4.2GM killed my battery until I reset all settings. I may end up doing that again with 4.2.1.

Different topic, but how is the wifi? Running 4.1 and from time to time the persistent wifi drops (after sleeping) and I have to turn off/on the wifi to reconnect.

No issues here either. I think the phone is running alot better now, not so laggy, everything seems snappier again. But the battery life seems fine. I think this will be the same release the public gets, I see no reason why it wouldn't be.

I have had serious batteey issues since 4.0. But with 4.2 there were no more drain and battery lasted forever. But with 4.2.1 its back. The battery drains and when used for airplay or safari it kills the battery in no time. I have tried all settings reset. But. No luck. My 3GS is going back to 4.2 GM. The most solid iOS release i have ever used.

Much much better for me (4.2.1). At 6% with 16 hours 14 min of usage/ 1 day 14 hrs of standby. This is by far the best result the phone has ever had.

What did u do to get 16 hrs of usage? Turn off 3G and only play music?

Just regular use. Some email, phone, a little bit of gaming, facebook, web, navigon etc...no music.

Awesome battery life on 4.2.1

5hrs usage, 15hrs standby, skype running in background throughout. MobileMe push on. Lots of wifi data usage, IMing, 1.5hrs of music playback.

I'm at 55% now.

Agreed on 4.2.1 >> 4.1. With moderate 3G usage (data, voice, text) and GPS, I only dropped to 80% after 5 hours usage and 10 hours standby. By far the best results I've ever had.

I've had great battery life on 4.1 with my iPhone 4 I almost am afraid to upgrade to 4.2.1 when it releases. Right now I'm at 44% with 5h15min usage - including 3 FaceTime calls, MobileMe push, wifi on/3G on, somaFM streaming, FaceBook cruising, Safari use...all while at work in a hospital (where it's notorious for draining battery due to finding the cell signal).

Oh well, long as it doesn't drop usage.
