Is there a way to configure the battery indicator on the menu bar to show "icon only" when the macbook is plugged into AC and fully charged, and to show the "time" text as well as icon when it's either on battery power or charging?

I could have sworn that I had this set up like that at one point in the last few days (with one of the macbooks I had to exchange) and can't figure out now what I did to do that...

Thanks
Gary

It may be possbile to have a differnt setting between plugged in and battery, but I'm pretty sure you can't have that setting different between charging and charged.

Try fiddling around with automator

If that doesnt work, try AppleScript. Of course, you'll have to ...er.. learn it or kind of grasp it first!

google SlimBatteryMonitor

it's a battery meter replacement that lets you set different profiles depending on whether it's charging, charged, or on battery
