I'll be purchasing my first Mac soon and need to know something.

Will keeping the MacBook plugged in even when it's fully charged damage the battery, or does it have some form of mechanism which prevents this.

On my current laptop, I have to take the battery out when it's fully charged or it will start to wear out.

I want the battery to last as long as possible, so I would appreciate help here.

Thanks.
