I know this kind of topics return year after year but I honestly see a drastic difference between 15.6.1 and 16. I have a good 1/3 less screen time qith crazy time for activities in the background for no reasons, especially the photo app. My 13 pro max suddenly feel like an older phone with an older battery but my battery health is at 97%.
Anyone else?

It is noticeably different on my iPhone 13 Pro Max with battery drain increased under iOS 16. It isn't bad enough to worry over though. Every year the new iOS seems to do this for a while. Either apps are updating a lot or if a bug was introduced Apple eventually fixes the issue. I would give it a few days to settle down before panicking.

For me it is. It’s draining almost twice as fast and the phone is hot all the time just doing the minor things.

Now I just confirmation directly from the iPhone; I was charging my phone without using it and I got a notification that the phone is too hot so it would stop charging until it cools down.

I second this, iP13PM is draining much quicker with exactly the same use.

Apple aren’t interested until the device can be inspected, not easy where I live.

My 13 Pro (non max) is sucking thru the battery on iOS 16. Battery stats show safari is my main culprit, but idk why all of a sudden. I’m getting like what seems like half the battery life compared to 15.6.x
