Battery Issue And 10.7.1

OK, just to put my mind to rest, can Apple ACTUALLY release an update that will fix the battery issues that alot of people, myself included? Is it a software problem, or just something one will have to get used to in Lion, and therefore have to revert to SL, which for me, would be a very long and annoying process.

Any answers would be appreciated.

if it's a software issue then it can be fixed.

if the issue didn't exist in SL but does in Lion it's a software issue, if lion is designed to be more power hungry - I'm not sure they'll be able to fix that - it's like windows xp & vista in a way

All your slow GPU's are heating up and decreasing the battery life. I guess they could have a superfluous graphics kill switch for battery life increase.
