Yesterday I went for a run with my phone on an armband, worked fine as usual. An hour or so after I got home I noticed there was some condensation on the inside of the rear camera lens. I didn't really think much of it, but shortly thereafter the phone became very hot and the battery basically plummeted from about 60% to completely dead within a couple of hours.

Charging it is now unbelievably slow (like, 2% per hour), and the phone still gets very hot, particularly on the right side (where the camera is). I'm assuming somehow sweat got in there during my run and has shorted something out, causing my battery to lose charge extremely fast. Does this sound plausible? Not sure how sweat got in there in the first place but it's the only thing I can think that would cause this rapid decrease in battery performance/increase in heat generation.

What to do to fix it? The old bag of rice? New Battery? Am I just screwed?

Thanks folks.
