After having my new iPhone 3gs for just 3 weeks I was showing some pics on my iPhone to a mate and the phone just died!? The batt was showing 76% as it did normally after half days use... So weird i thought, so when I reached back to my hotel I plugged in the power from my laptop, expecting the chirp chirp of the re charge I got nothing!! Hmm so I waited, still nothing... So I left it connected for a few hours and nothing! I thought maybe the laptop wasn't giving enough charge so I went and bought the only available wall charger I could find in Istanbul and plugged it in..... Nothing! So gutted I resigned myself to the fact it was bust (previous 3gs lasted 1 week before backlite gave up!) so I shouted at it and the usual but still nothing... So I threw in my bag a charged my back up phone. 2 days later I felt I should give it one last try, as soon as I plugged it in it came to life! :) BUT..... After charging and using the phone for just 1 hr normal call and a small bit if wifi I noticed I was already down to 70%... not what I was used to from a week old iPhone. 4 months later I still have a useless batt life and I have used it today for 3 hours and I am at 38%! unlucky I thought i was, then my work colleague found my dodgy charger while I was out and he used it for 3 mins only! After that point he had had same problem as me.

How do I fix this battery issue? Sounds like the to charger fried the batt or something?? Can it be fixed with software. I have the new 3.03 version as if yeterday and still same after the fix declares fixing batt miscalculations etc...

Help! New batt or can this be saved?
