I've had my 2012 base model 13" Macbook Pro for about 3 weeks now (ordered it directly from Apple, brand new, not refurb or anything), and it has a weird issue with the battery. It won't charge past 97%. I've searched before, and have tried letting the battery run down completely until the computer hibernates, to condition the battery. That did not work. Still won't charge past 97%... Any suggestions? I do have AppleCare, but if this is a faulty battery, the standard warranty would cover it anyways correct?

It's normal. Your machine is designed to keep the battery charging and discharging all the time to keep the electrons moving. Most probably you'll find it between 96-99%.

As long as it gives you a good battery life when you use it unpluged, you're fine and you have nothing to worry about.
