So my 17" Macbook Pro just dies. If it gets below around 19%, it just dies. The computer goes into sleep mode, the clock resets and so does the network. Although if I turn airport off, then on it remembers the network password. I haven't tweaked with any settings, and I am not running any third party apps like Insomnia X.

I did turn the battery over and pushed the button, no green lights came on, but from what I can tell the battery's meter is consistent with the displayed percentage.

Is it the battery's sensors are just screwed up, or is this a hardware issue?

Thankz.
