I'm at an exhibition and surfing the net. I spent easily 3 full hours on net (with edge) and the battery went to half power.
The last phone I had was 3g and surfing net was slower and the battery went close to empty on the same amount of use.
I have wifi off and screen brightness down to minimum almost. Am very impressed.
