I am using a macbook air 13 inch 2013 and I really love it with the surprise battery life, except screen. I will join the MSc course in next month so I need to replace with macbook pro retina for dissertation, web,youtube...
Can you tell me the difference of battery life between macbook pro retina 13 inch 2015 and 2013, 2014 for normal using?. If the gap in all cases is only 1 hours, I will choose the macbook pro 2013, 2014 to save money.
Thanks.

Battery life will be like 1 hour different among NEW machines of those years. If you buy used, then the older ones will have more battery cycles and probably be much less able to keep those longer hour times. But other differences between the 13,14 and 15 models should be more of your concern, not battery life.

The battery life between them should not differ significantly, but buying used can result in receiving a poor battery.

I read a lot of reviews that the battery life between MBA 13 2013 and rMBP 13 2015 are nearly equal. So, I think rMBP 2015 is better than 2013, 2014 in battery life feature. Is that true?
