After getting my Macbook on saturday, i have attempted to calibrate the batter a couple of times (ran the battery down to reserve power, then had it run on AC until charged and some hours after fully charged). This was supposed to train the battery to learn how much it has left. When im running on just battery power, the estimated time left seems to fluctuate quite frequently. Will this eventually get straightened out, or does it continually try to adjust whenever i do anything on battery power?

Its fluctuation is intelligent and on purpose; it tells you how much time you have left while doing that activity. E.g. if you open photoshop, the battery life will go down, while decreasing brightness makes it go up.

I've never done this on my iBook and the battery estimation is always very accurate
