When someone is using a app and then turns the ipod touch/iphone off, the app is still running so it wastes your battery. So whenever your about to turn your Ipod touch or iphone go to home (where all your apps are) then turn it off.

P.S It saved me a lot of battery life :)

i thought turning off the ipod turned everything off? or do you mean standby?
