So,

I bought a 32gb iPod Touch (3rd Gen) a couple of months back, however I have had extremely poor battery life the last month or so. It will last roughly an hour before it is close to dying. I'm not quite sure what to try to restore it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Unfortunately, the nearest Apple store is about 2 hours away. I'd like to avoid that if at all possible. Is there any home remedies?

I've noticed an increase in battery life on my iPod touch 2G. Turn off WiFi and Bluetooth when you're not using them and reduce your screen brightness when there's adequate lighting around. As has been previously mentioned, I would recommend just doing a full restore though.
