Battery Life of 17" i7

Hey guys,

Any owners of the i7 MBP 17" could give me a an estimate on the battery life? I'm using a C2D 3.06 with an SSD and was wondering how much more battery life do the new i7 have? Many thanks!

i never really drained it, but the estamated time on mine is about 6/7 hours...
Normal web surfing etc. ( i have BT/wireless ON, screen is fairly bright)

thats a good article about batteries that hammer posted. i5 and c2d beats i7 in battery life.

Mine is lasting around 7 hours with nothing but web surfing and 50% screen brightness on wifi.

7-8 here

regular use web/email 7-8 graphics work 4-5 I'm very happy with it I even watched a 3hr movie on it once and still worked on it after for about 3hr before I had to plug it in when it showed about 30min left.

what do you do with your mbp?

Not very taxing stuff, web surfing and reading, though not flash sites. But once I did a severe test where I did nothing but watch and convert videos (multiple windows of each) the entire time. Got 4 hours that way.
