I've ordered the last 13 inch with touch bar (i5/16/512) machine a few days ago... However I am starting to have second thoughts, based on the battery life.
Apple advertises 10 hours battery life. Some people report they've actually got about 4-5 on their daily usage. Could the owners of 13 model (2018) comment how much battery life they get? And what do you use it for?
My main usage of the machine is coding - I am buying it to get started with ios development... I don't think I will do much graphics / video related work on it.

If you are doing iOS coding you'll be running the simulator quite a bit. That thing is a power-hungry hog. If you run Chrome instead of Safari, expect even more of a drain.

Honestly, most battery life estimates are useless because individual usage patterns are so distinct. You may find the following post by Marco Arment, a developer, most relevant. He uses a 2018 13" MBP for development, and he explains how he uses Volta to lengthen battery life and provides some numbers.

Be warned: his usage is somewhat heavy (though not that unusual in the context of running and debugging code), and the numbers don't look that great. But as he shows, you won't do better by going back to a 2015 MBP either. It's just the nature of the task.

Ive only had mine for a few days now but Im impressed. I came from a 2017 nTB 13" that would get me about 8 hours of actual usage. I was concerned about going to the TouchBar because of the smaller battery on the 2017 but then I read the 2018 had an larger battery than the nTB variant. 58 vs 54.5. Im getting the same if not slightly better battery on the 2018 than I was the 2017. This is a post I made about my typical usage a week and a half ago when I was considering the switch.

With that same usage yesterday I got home with I believe 25% roughly. I was able to use it until about 11 before plugging in.

I'd say 8 hours is pretty standard. Depending on your usage and programs, maybe more, maybe less.

the 10 hours is based on running just email or Safari with the display dimmed and Bluetooth turned off. If you're running anything processor intensive, your time will be much less.
