So I have watched two videos (Mrwhosetheboss & Brandon Butch) on YouTube that were comparing iPhone 11 / Pro / Pro Max and some Android flagships and it seems that the battery life of a non-pro iPhone 11 is just "average" compared to the Pro models. And also there were mentioned some problems with iPhone 11 overheating. I have read some comments under those videos and some people said that those battery problems should be fixed in iOS 13.1, but I don't really know their source.

Do you have any additional info about it? Or your own comparison (Xr vs 11, 11 vs 11 Pro)? I know it has been just few days since release, but I'm gonna probably buy the non-pro 11, so I'm interested to hear some experience.

It’s not just the 11 that overheats. My 11 Pro does too. I was editing a few photos on mine last night and it started to get really, really warm. My X never did that. There’s either something wrong with iOS 13.1 or the new iPhones.

It will heat up regardless of what I’m doing. Heavy gaming or not, which I never do on my iPhone.

I am finding that my 11 Pro doesnt get near as warm as my previoius Xs.

I watched this drain test and the guy specificallly warns how hot the 11 gets. @10:25

Yeah I saw this too. He made it seem like it was two steps away from melting. That phone was on iOS 13.0, which was a mess so maybe 13.1 improved it. But even 13.1 isn’t as great as it should be.

I have spent a good deal of time in Lightroom and VSCO on my XR and never had the hot phone issue. I can do some testing with my 11P. I have seen the heat issues raised by battery testing on YT. IMO, those tests are helpful and directional but beyond any realistic real-world usage. I had the XR for a year and never once felt any significant heat from the phone.

I will say that I thought the battery life of the XR/11 would beat the 11P but there is just something about that 11P battery. It’s crazy good. IMO, it is better/longer than the XR and likely the 11.
