Battery life Samsung vs iPhone 4S

I was thinking of picking up an iPhone 4S this weekend, but the reports about the awful battery makes me think I should get a phone from Samsung. ( what's the point of having a phone when it runs out of power all the time )

How is the iPhone 4 vs iPhone 4S in terms of battery life btw?

Man, apples and oranges doesn't even begin to describe your question!

First of all, the battery issues on the 4S are overblown. Some users have them, most don't. And battery usage depends on your apps and usage, and on your radio (3G vs LTE). Too many variables that make ANY comparison pointless.

You don't even specify which Samsung phone you want to compare with!

And the iPhone 4S has a battery life of, like, a gazillion-trillion.

Using my 4S a lot, I get between 6.5 to 8.5 hours of usage. It all depends on the person.

My wife just upgraded to the 4S from the 3GS. According to her usage (which I would think is a typical mix throughout the day), she is seeing the same exact battery life as what she was getting on the 3GS. The phone comes off the charger at about 7am and still has about a third of the battery left when it is charged again at 9pm. I'm not sure if that would be considered good or bad, but it gets her through the day.

Perhaps the battery does not last as long in comparison to the 4, but compared to the 3GS, it seems almost identical...

I just took back my Samsung Skyrocket due battery life. Charging 2-3 times a day with light use is terrible for battery life. My iPhone 4 goes down 20 % from 6:30am to 10pm. That is perfect.
