iPod touch Battery Life-Span - 1st Gen?

Has anyone had the battery in their first gen iPod Touch reach the end of it's natural life and stop holding significant charge?

I bought my 16GB a week after they were first released and so far the battery is holding out fine.

Has anyone had any other experiences?
