I didn't want to bother anyone with my doubts and suspicions so I ran a test on my 3g iPod for a week and here are the results. When in sleep mode, my ipod fully drains the battery in less then 30 hours. I didn't notice this earlier 'coz I used it a lot realy so it didn't ever sleep for that long for me to notice that and I charged it regularly. Now this concerns me a lot. Looks like the battery is givin up on me and it's just about two years old. When playing though, the battery life is OK. Anyone has the same issue?

iPod Battery life when in sleep mode.

The 3G iPod batteries were total crap. I already had my battery replaced back in May and it's beginning to go down the tubes six months later. The only thing I can recommend is to just top it off each night and hope for the best. That's what I've ended up doing.
