iPod touch battery life?

now that we have all these cool graphic-intensive games, how long will it be before the batteries quit?

i know my Touch starts to get warm if ive been playing Crash for a while.

[it would also be nice to see the actual charge levels while playing to know when to quit and connect it back up]


also, if [well, when] the battery does die an unfortunate death, how easy/hard will it be to get a new battery? and how much $$? anyone know?

The iPod touch's battery is soldered on so I am definitely going to ship it to Apple to fix it. Not worth voiding my warranty by attempting a DIY.

I think it's like $100 bucks or so, anybody know the exact price?
