Hello,
I have recently upgraded my Late 2008 Macbook from OS X Mavericks to OS X El Capitan. While everything seems to work OK, I no longer get a Low Battery notification, resulting my Macbook to shut down, without even saving the current state of the OS, like it would do in the past (so that I can resume where I left off). When I charge and turn back on my Macbook, it is as if it powers on from shut down, instead of sleep. It does re-open all applications I was using before the battery drained, but not where I left off.
Are there any calibrations, tests, or settings I can check to fix this?
NOTE: In case it does make any difference, I am using a compatible replacement battery, which was working perfectly while I was still on OS X Mavericks. Battery from here.
