Is the battery low indicator just a timed indicator? in other words is it reset when you take the battery out?

Reason I ask is cause I got a battery low indication, took the battery out and realized I didn't have any batteries, so i put it back in and now i'm like 3 days in without a low indicator on the old battery.

Use Find My to make it play a sound. Then see if the low battery indicator comes back.

I've replaced my batteries last Sunday, since than I haven't had the notification that the battery is low. So I guess it's not set to specific timing, but when the battery goes below a certain voltage.

Nope, i'm now going on a full week and it still thinks i have a new battery in there.

Interesting. Next time I have to change one of mine, I will use my battery tester to see if the battery still has juice.

I will say, I neglected one of my Airtags with a battery warning, and it still lasted for about 3 months before the Airtag wouldn't work at all.
