Battery meter fluctuates a lot?

I just browse the web, nothing special and my battery meter fluctuates from 4 hours to 10 hours!

How can I get a more consistent reading?

I was told that Apple pre-calibrates the battery so I would not need to do that!

It will never be consistent. It simply calculates it every few minutes based on what you are doing right then, so if you're not doing much, it will give a long time, but if you are watching a video or have more stuff open, it will be shorter. If you don't like seeing it change all the time, you can change it to the percentage, which gives a more absolute reading.
