Battery Meter not moving

Does anyone know what I can do to get my battery meter working again? It doesn't move off 100% and at the end of the day my phone just shuts down. I don't get the 20%/10% warning or anything. I did a hard reset (home button and lock button) but that hasn't fixed the problem.

This happens to me randomly. I'll get suspicious after a few hours when it isn't showing any decrease and I'll reboot the phone to find that it's down a third or something. Usually though, the reboot fixes it. If yours is constant then the only remedy would be a restore.
