Before I contact the seller about this, naybe I am doing something wrong. I bought a new battery for my iBook G4, inserted it and started charging. It reached 62% overnight and won't go any higher. SlimBatteryMonitor says it is 'Charging. At 62%'. Any ideas on how to proceed?

Reset the iBook's PRAM. It's not interrogating the battery correctly. so OSX is getting confused.

Wow! I haven't reset PRAM on a mac for 5 years. That will solve the problem you believe? It is almost 3 years old, and I bought a 3rd party battery (not wise?) maybe. Thanks for the help.
When I bought a second battery for my PowerBook, it only charged to 88%. Resetting the PRAM solved it and it now charges to 100%. You may have to calibrate the battery afterwards (completely discharge it, then charge it again).

I am still experiencing problems. I have reset PRAM three times and am still only able to charge to 90%. I reset the PMU to no avail. BTW, I'm a nitwit who tried to save a few dollars by shopping at laptopsforless and not buying direct from Apple.
