Battery not charging?

I've just plugged my laptop in here at work, the light on the magsafe doesn't appear. at the top it says its running on power adapter.

Last night however i did notice that the light on the magsafe was a light green color, not the normal green/orange it usually is.

Any idea?, its a AluMB from Oct 2008. Could it be my battery or just the charger?. I do have Apple care.

Do you have access to another magsafe adapter? If so, does the light appear the normal color and charge the battery with the other adapter?

Unfortunately no.

However at the top in the taskbar, it has the battery displayed says its plugged into the charger however its not charging.

Hmm, if there's an Apple Store near you I'd take the laptop and the adapter in to the Genius Bar. As if it's the adapter (Which it probably is) then they could replace it on the spot for you.
