I decided to turn my battery percentage off and it's made me love this phone so much more. No more worrying about usage, standyby etc. I use it the way it's supposed to be used and I love it.

I just have one question. Is there a way to get the phone to tell me when I have 50% battery left. I know it warns us when we have 20% and 10%. With the percentage off I would like to know when I'm halfway there. I know I could just turn it on and off real quick, but just wondering if there's a way to do it automaticaly.

I hate how it's a messy 'xx%' clutter showing on the clean status bar. I wish it's smaller numbers (iP4 can handle it) inside the battery symbol.

I got this phone so that I can replace my 3G and its failing battery.
It wasnt failing as in dead but requires a charge after 2/3 of the day.
This is with Wifi off and brightness down.
Well Im peeved that my new iPhone 4 does the same thing.
Maybe its my heated personality :p

Cydia: Status Bar Battery Icon Hide (a well-named app if ever there was one)

LOL Agreed. I thought there was a function already installed in the phone. Thanks

AH - Need to use winterbaord? Not a fan!

Winterboard works great on iPhone 4! It isn't updated so some things don't do anything when you select them, but theres no lag or crashing.

With winterboard and toneFXs I don't ever need to SSH for themes or sounds.

I try to stay away from winterboard. I feel like it drains my battery faster. It's not proven, just my opinion.

I would be fine with the no battery image on the status bar. But, I want to know when the iPhone is charging. Is there a tool that will hide the battery icon but show some kind of lightning bolt on the status bar when the phone is charging?

S-

Isn't there a huge battery sign that comes on that is filled with green when charging?

I have to agree with the OP. If I leave the battery percentage on I just obsess over it. I am better with it off for my own sanity.

I think this is my problem. Just turned mine off on the iPad. I figure that's a baby step towards getting rid of it on the phone. LOL

Haha I've been so used to using SSH to change my springboard that I almost asked about a .theme I could create to hide the battery percentage... then I realized there is an option for this already in the iphone settings!
