Hi, Sonoma 14.1 on M1 Pro MBP here.

What is happening here?

First screenshot: System menu bar shows 100% charged, which is expected having been plugged in all day starting from 17% around 0900. In system settings it says "Fully charged" but the graph is showing less than 50% and the charging indicator underneath the graph looks odd, showing many short charges when then computer was plugged in the whole time.

Second screenshot: system menu reports 73% charged, but the graph is somewhere below 25% and again the charging indicator underneath the graph is showing many short charges when the reality was that the machine was plugged in the whole time.

Battery health reports as Normal, Max capacity is 90% (seems reasonable given age of machine) and optimised charging is on. Have rebooted but view remains the same.

Is the graph reporting less than 50% in error or am I missing something? Is anyone else seeing this behaviour?

Lol it's very confused now. Been on charge (different charger, just in case) since before 0900.

Physically there's nothing to be concerned about, the device isn't hot etc and there is no physical damage so I'm still assuming a weird bug in the graph...?
