Battery percentage stuck!

First time on DP4 i noticed that battery percentage on my MBP gets stuck on a number and doesn't go down. so for example you might see 83% remaining but the fact is 35%. and it always shows "Calculating time remaining..".
has anyone else experienced the same problem?

Yes, I've experienced it several times on my 17" MacBook Pro (1,1) running Snow Leopard! Whatever it is, it's unrelated to Mavericks or any DP thereof.
