Im looking for a tweak that will enable the native battery percentage option in iOS on and iPod touch 5th generation. Having trouble finding one.

SBSettings

open SBSettings or activate it by swiping the menu bar (if you do this option, select "More" in the setting pane), Select System Options > and Enable Numeric Battery, the ipod should respring after that and should display the battery percentage.

I dont want to remove the little icon completely... I just want to enable the percentage along side the icon like the iPhone/iPad can.

Bolt removes the battery icon but keeps the percentage. I'm not quite sure what you're looking for since you said you wanted a percentage along side the icon.

By icon you mean the battery icon? I never owned an iPod touch so I don't know

he wants to be shown the icon and battery percentage. For some odd reason, apple doesn't let iPod users see their battery percentage, just the icon. it baffles me.

just follow what I said, I own 4 iPods (3 iPod 4th gens, 1 iPod 5th gen), and have done this to all of them.

I wound up doing that. I was hoping to not have to install a bunch of useless stuff on this iPod (its my girlfriends, and I dont see her using SBSettings.), and was hoping to find a tweak that just enabled the toggle in the Usage pane of the Settings app.

Thanks though.

If you installed springtomize you can also enable it through that.

Settings > Springtomize > Status Bar > Battery Percentage.

Its actually built in...
Settings.app>General>Usage then turn on the Battery Percentage under Battery Usage

Again, not my iPod. Im generally leaving it up to my girlfriend to choose her own tweaks and whether or not she wishes to spend money on any, but the main reason she jailbroke was to get the percentage, and I had been hoping there had just been a single purpose (akin to something like NoSpot or NoNewsisGoodNews) tweak to enable the appearance of the toggle in Usage so it could be turned on.

As it is, SBSettings is an ok solution, and I went about hiding it and Activator so it doesnt get in the way.

On iPods it is not. Only iPhones and iPads get battery percentage.

If you get bolt in cydia, go to settings and click on bolt and it should say battery percentage then you turn it on it worked perfect for me
