Battery Percentage

The one peeve I have with my iPhone 3g is that I cannot tell what my battery percentage is. Its so annoying that I would jailbreak my phone just for that feature

What are my options ( jailbreak or not) in terms of getting a percentage number instead of colored bars

Boss Prefs available via jailbreak gives the option for a numeric battery

I thought I wanted % too, but honestly, it's too depressing and uninformative compared to the visual bar. It always seems to read lower than what it looks like the visual does, and you really can't gauge how fast you are using battery or how much trouble you are in.

Just my opinion I guess, but I've switched back to graphical. I guess you could get used to either way, but with graphical you can so quickly gauge where you are at and you can visualize how fast you are using battery.

With the numeric battery option, you can quickly switch back to graphical by clicking on the number/battery.
