I have been concerned for the last week that Apple's claims to increased battery life were inaccurate. Fortunately for me, and hopefully to anyone else with the concern, I have an original and 3G. Today, after a full charge on both, I did a series of tests for side by side comparisons. I disabled 3G, turned on Wifi, turned off push and set fetch to manual. All other settings were equal.

After running Enigmo for 45 minutes, 30 minutes of video, 20 minutes of surfing safari, 20 minutes of Aqua Forest, and I even spoke on my 3G phone for 18 minutes...couldn't do the same with the original (no service anymore), here is what I found:

iPhone Original = 30% battery used or 70% remaining
iPhone 3G = 15% battery used 0r 85% remaining

Has anyone else had the same concern? Has anyone else run similar tests? If so, what are your impressions?
