I've tried researching this a few different places, but I can't find anyone with the same symptoms that I'm currently experiencing. (Similar, but not quite the same) (MagSafe LED is Green)

My Macbook Pro (Model 5.1, Late 2008) 2.53 Ghz, Core 2 Duo is not currently charging my battery. If i unplug my MagSafe, the system immediately shuts down. While plugged into the wall, the LED indicators on the side show 7 out of 8 lights green with the 8th flashing (assuming this is the charge view)... When unplugged, the LED indicator lights show nothing... Below are my System Profile Info regarding the battery.

Battery is about a year old and a bit old...

Update:

I went to the Apple Store to a Genius technician and they informed me that the battery was the issue... Went home and ordered a new battery from Amazon.ca, and the problem persists with the new battery...

Not sure what I can do... Do i have to replace the entire logic board?

I would go back to the Apple Store and explain this.

Here's the kicker... I have an apple genius appointment later today, and all of a sudden it started working properly...

I don't know if i'll be able to reproduce the symptoms...

Try resetting the SMC.

The link below should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the time to read it.
