Battery Problem with brand new 17" MBP?

I recently got a unibody 17" MBP as a replacement for my old 07 MBP with the 8600 GT because the graphics card had failed 3 times. I had been using it for 4 days, and today while I was watching a video on youtube I noticed that my charging indicator light on my adapter had gone from green to red, and when I checked my battery status it had gone from 97% to 2% and it was not charging. I also gained a cycle on my battery when I checked Istat, any ideas on why this happened?
