Just got my MBP three days ago. Short story: :D

I'm a bit supcious about my battery life however. At about 67% charge remaining I have two hours & seventeen minutes left (this is just internet surfing and youtube viewing). That seems pretty far off the mark, no?

If this is normal, how can I prolong the battery life? And how much does sending it in to Apple for a new battery cost?

Thanks :)

It all depends on what type of application your running, your screen/backlit keyboard brightness.
For mine I have 3 under Max screen brightness and halfway of backlit keyboard only running Safari, Activity Monitor, and Norton with 92% charge I got 7 hours and 30 min left.
But if I use heavy applications like final cut pro, I would only have 1~2 hours with 92% charge.

let it run for a couple cycles, mine seemed to diminish quickly at first too. close out of things that you aren't using and turn down the display brightness.
