I've had my mac plugged in constantly for fours days and the battery will not recharge!! The icon has a huge "x" over it, and as soon as I unplug the computer it turns off. And yes, it is plugged in correctly and the little green light is light up! What is going on and how do I fix it??

Do the LEDs on the battery itself indicate that it has a charge?

Make sure that battery is in there correctly but check the LEDs at the bottom of your laptop. Leaving your laptop plugged in for four days shouldn' be a problem. My laptop has been plugged in for a month now and still getting a charge.

Bless

This happened to a friend before on his ibook g4. If i remember correctly he took out the battery, then put it back in again, and let it charge whilst the computer wasn't on for the first time. Works fine now as far as i am aware of.
