I just wanted to know how much battery life, if any is lost when the MacBook is in Sleep.

When the machine is sleeping, it can last for days like that.... it slowly, slowly, slowly drinks battery life... but it is using it.

Mine wouldn't last that long in sleep, it drains it surprising quickly

are you sure it isnt waking up while the lid is shut? you should here no fans and the light should pulsate.

when the macbook sleeps your work is saved to the ram and everything is put on standby and the SMC waits for an input i.e. keyboard, mouse to wake it up. the SMC only uses a few % of power overnight.

Thanks a bunch!
