Hi Everyone,

I recently changed the battery on my itouch (3rd generation). In retrospect, HUGE mistake!

After I was done soldering the battery in, I decided to test if it was working before I put it all back together. So I connected the LCD plug in and pressed the 'on' button. The screen went white for a few seconds (with no apple logo or anything), but went dark again. Similar to when the iPod goes to standby. I tried connecting the digitiser, no difference. There is just no picture!

It connects up to my macbook and iTunes recognises it. It also receives alerts through ical via wifi.

Can anyone help?

Alternatively, does anyone know how to make the touch into a hard drive....so at least this is not a total brick!

Thanks
