With battery replacement as an option for the Apple Watch (and the advencement of battery technologies avery year), would it be possible to change it ... lets say 3 years down the road and have it replaced by a battery that has longer life time then 18 hours ?

Apple have said the battery can be changed, but only by them or a Apple partner, but with the next gen watches, I can't see the battery being identical so any advances in batteries more than likely wouldn't fit the 1st gen model.

Having used Apple products for many years, they would be more interested in selling you the latest gen watch than replacing your battery imho.

maybe but in 1-2 years time the watch will have been updated by Apple.

So they dont say for how long they plan on supporting the battery replacement of the Apple Watch ?

They will support it for many years, but you won't be able to put any other battery in it than the one originally designed for it.
