AW battery "replacement" is actually a refurb, no battery exchanged, plenty posts to that here.If I send in my Apple Watch S5 for battery replacement, will i get a refurbed model of what i already have? Also i'm assuming i'll have 100% battery health again, can i expect a good day and a half usage once again? (currently can't even make it past 6AM to 5PM)
Apple replaces the watch with an identical refurbished unit. They do not replace the battery in your original watch.. That's also why unless the watch shows under 80% capacity using Apples own diagnostic equipment they will refuse to replace the battery..They'll probably just replace the battery and that's that. You can replace the battery without replacing the entire unit. You can expect the battery life close to what it did brand new. Remember, as the versions of watchOS have gotten more complex, it won't last as long as it did when the S5 came out.
