If I send in my Apple Watch S5 for battery replacement, will i get a refurbed model of what i already have? Also i'm assuming i'll have 100% battery health again, can i expect a good day and a half usage once again? (currently can't even make it past 6AM to 5PM)

They'll probably just replace the battery and that's that. You can replace the battery without replacing the entire unit. You can expect the battery life close to what it did brand new. Remember, as the versions of watchOS have gotten more complex, it won't last as long as it did when the S5 came out.

AW battery "replacement" is actually a refurb, no battery exchanged, plenty posts to that here.
and yes, I would expect battery health to be at 100% as refurbs include a new (at time of manufacturing) battery.

Apple replaces the watch with an identical refurbished unit. They do not replace the battery in your original watch.. That's also why unless the watch shows under 80% capacity using Apples own diagnostic equipment they will refuse to replace the battery..

I took my Apple Watch Series 5 to an Apple Store a few months ago for battery replacement. I received a brand new Series 5 a couple days later. Battery capacity was 100%.

I don't know if I received a refurb or a brand new Apple Watch when I had mine replaced due to battery health. Its serial number is different and the display has a red tint the original didn't have, though, so it's not the same unit at least.
