My MBP is a little over a year old. My battery capacity is shown by Coconut Battery to be 41%. I've calibrated but it still seems to last about 1 hour. I have Apple Care, will apple replace the battery or am I stuck buying a new one if I want more battery life?

Thanks

The battery is only covered if it has a manufacturer defect so they will probably not replace the battery and you will have to purchase a new one.

I sure think that a battery with only 41% capacity after a year is defective...unless it has 300+ cycles. If that is true, you are out of luck most likely. If it is not, you will get a new battery. Call Apple anyways because they might be generous.

I had my mbp's battery replaced when the recall happened and for the past year, I've noticed the battery life was REALLY bad. I usually have it plugged in, so I never really took notice. My battery is at 28% capacity with only 146 cycles!!! Does that warrant a free replacement? I have AppleCare.
