Battery show Not Charging

Hi Hope somebody can help. A month or so ago my LCD went pop and the laptop has been sitting around whilst i sourced a new replacement screen. Yesterday I replaced the screen and bingo, worked great. I them cam to look at the battery icon and noticed it said 'Not Charging' Don't know if this is a coincidence or not with me not using the laptop for over a month.

It's a MacBook, mid 2007 with 467 charge cycles on the battery, I have done the usual power off, battery out, start button for 5 seconds, battery in, power up. but nothing.

Hope someone can help.

Have you tried an SMC reset yet?
