The machine:
-Late 2016 13" tMBP 8GB/256GB

The test conditions:
-75% brightness (12 notches, i think)
-Turn Off: Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, auto brightness, keyboard backlight
-QuickTime player
-Loop h264 SD video, scaled to fill screen in full screen mode

Result:
8 hours 45 minutes

To other owners, i'm curious to know what results you get using the above testing conditions? I'm a little disappointed that it did not get close to 10hrs, but it's not a huge deal for me personally.

Cheers

You are testing it wrong. :D

But seriously, Why switch off Wi-Fi? I would think it shouldn't be switched off. Why SD video when at least 720p is the norm?

My TB MBP 13 base at 2.9/8/256 gives me around 50% (give or take 10%) battery remaining at the end of 5 hours of Safari, OneNote and InDesign and occasional Outlook. Bluetooth off. WiFi on. Display brightness auto.
