I thought the 13" MBA was rated to be about 7 hours. Just surfing the net without the back lit keyboard and medium brightness I am only getting about 4-5 hours.

Is there something I am missing?

Is that what the battery is estimating?

Do you have flash installed (And not ClickToFlash/AdBlock) including Chrome?

I think the battery time left shown is only an estimation. I think it's particularly off during the first day you get your macbook. Give it a few days and it should be more accurate.

Where should one get ClickToFlash/AdBlock? I did a search and found a couple different sites for them.

as others have said use flashblock or if your using websites with flash your battery life will obviously be lower...
Also it may take a few cycles for the battery meter to properly calibrate as has been my experience.

Use CoconutBattery to check power usage (watt), you should be seeing 40~50% brightness, AirPort on and idling should be around 5watt, browsing MR should be around 7.x watt without flash, and with that power usage you should be able to get 7 hours surfing time average.

Or, time your usage in certain time frame like 30mins and record the battery % before and after. The longer your test period, the more accurate it is, less than 30mins might not be as accurate.
