Battery usage stats way off?

for example, i woke up at 7:15, got ready for work. got to work at 8.

started watching netflix (i know working hard). at 11:30 it said i had 3.5 hours usage and 4 hours standby...so 7.5 hours total. yet its been unplugged since 7:15..

am i reading this wrong? am i alone in this problem?
sorry if this has been brought up already, ive seen numerous ones regarding bad battery life but none regarding this.

also, for streaming video whats your battery life been? i get 4.5 hours of netflix and my device is dead. screen brightness at 30% is this normal?

The standby is the total number of time your phone has been off charge. So the standby time includes usage in that as well.

The usage time is just when you've been using it.

With the Netflix were you using cellular or wifi to stream?

ohhhhh okay. thanks. i thought it was just the time it was in standby as in not doing anything. locked.
