Hi, I just noticed that my new MBA 2018 shows 4339mAh when it's fully charged but full capacity is 4489mAh as per Mac system info. Does this mean that my battery has worn out in just 2 weeks?

I have plugged in every time I have worked with it.

should I calibrate the battery maybe?

Please share your battery readings on full charge so I can compare.

BTW only has 1 battery cycle.

Thanks

Batteries are not exact capacities. You can sometimes get slightly more and sometimes get slightly less.

The design capacity of the MBA battery is 4381mah. Yours being 50mah less is well within any margin of error. So I really wouldn't worry about it. Here you can see mine and I am on slightly more according to coconut. But it changes all the time.

System report for me shows:

The main place to look is at the condition. As long as that says normal then I wouldn't worry.

I have discharged until 80% then plugged in and now is 4500mAh, As you mentioned I think battery readings aren't 100% accurate.

As you can also see. There is an issue with the battery widget on the taskbar. Although the system is saying it isn't fully charged. The taskbar widget is saying it is.

I took it off charge at 97% this morning as needed to leave for work. When I opened it the taskbar said 97%. Then after about 30 secs said 100%.

I am on 10.14.3 Beta 3 however so it could be that.

Yes I've noticed default battery widget is not accurate at all, percentages are wrong.

Coconut battery a lot more precise.
