Battery widget acts weird

iPhone 12PM was showing battery info of my APP (Gen 1) only when I have one or both in the case and I press the button. But now it shows all the time since 16.2

It would have been great if it was showing correct info. But it shows only 'empty'. It doesn't show battery charge level without pods in it. It's a bit annoying.
I did remove the widget and installed again. I also unpaired APP and paired later. Nothing helps

Yes, I notice this issue too. I'm suspecting it might be because, and I'm guessing here, AirPods Case Gen 1 does not report battery life at all without the pods in it, but AirPods Case Gen 2 does report without pods in it.

Same issue with my Beats Fit Pro.

It's nice to know that I have all the perks (and faults, in this case) of the AirProds brand.

It's a 16.2 bug introduced with love by Apple
